Patio Guys’ Holiday FACEMASKS GIVING
Patio Guys makes reusable Facemasks for the local community
In the spirit of holiday giving, the team at Patio Guys ended 2020 similar to how we started it, by making masks for the local community. We first started this service project during the initial Covid outbreak during March and April in an effort to provide protective equipment to the community at a time when it was not very available. As the holidays brought on another concerning Covid serge, we reached out to the local city government in an effort to find out if there are any areas where we can help. Through this partnership, the city referred to us a few organizations that were in need of reusable masks. Patio Guys got to work to provide local charities with facemasks.
Patio Guys is in a unique position where we already have the skills and materials needed for producing high quality masks through our usual patio furniture repair resources. We just reallocated and readjusted these resources to mask production. Our lead seamstress applied the knowledge that she has to creating the mask designs and we use outdoor grade fabric paired with a filter and cotton layer to make comfortable, protective, and durable masks.
Pictured are some of these masks made in different colors and sizes.
A couple of the locations that we delivered the masks to are:
Stevens Adult Residential Home – Santa Ana
Family Assistance Ministries – San Clemente
If you know of any nonprofits or community organizations that are in need of reusable face masks please comment so we can reach out and continue our work to better the community that we serve,
